A look back at Aurélien Panis' 2023 sports season

As 2023 draws to a close, it's time to take stock of Aurelien Panis's progress during the 2023 season.

Season 2023 Aurélien Panis

As you probably already know, AMEG Group has renewed its partnership with Aurélien Panis for this 35th, and above all, last edition of the e-Trophée Andros! As the year 2023 draws to a close, it's time to take stock of his progress halfway through the competition, and to look back over his entire sporting season.

Victory in the Trophée Andros 2022-2023

All in all, it was a successful sporting season. Remember, it got off to a flying start with victory in the Trophée Andros 2022-2023.

Aurelien shared with us his delight at having won the overall championship (for the2nd time after his 2020 title): "It's been a great season, with four wins and great work from my entire Sainteloc Racing team".

One of the highlights was his home race at Lans-en-Vercors, where he had a near-perfect weekend. His feat during this race even earned him the title before the end of the championship!

A second success at GT World Challenge Europe

The racing driver then went on to talk about his "summer" sports programme.

This year, he was competing in the GT World Challenge Europe, which corresponds to the European GT3 Championship. As part of a Belgian team, Boutsen VDS, he represented the colors of Audi Sport, and drove the Audi R8 GT3 LMS, in the GOLD category.

With three Sprint wins (England, Italy, Germany) and an Endurance victory in Spain, the team fought for the championship title right up to the last moment.

Unfortunately, the last race in the Netherlands, on the Zandvoort circuit, did not turn out in his favor. Aurélien Panis will finish as Gold Vice-Champion of the GT World Challenge Europe.

Today, the driver looks back on this title. He admits that he found it hard to accept, having battled with BMW all season, but with hindsight, he declares that "it was a successful season all the same!
