A lesson in sustainable performance, as valid on the trail as in business.

From Tuscany to Alsace: building performance over time

After my race at the Chianti Trail by UTMB, I was forced to slow down a little. Digestive problems forced me to listen to myself more. This break, far from being a hindrance, was a real opportunity to get back on track. I resumed training methodically, refocused on my sensations and with a clear objective: to move forward intelligently and sustainably.

And on May 17, I lined up at the starting line of the Trail des Pèlerins UTMB Alsace (34 km / 1,370 m D+), with the desire to run a full race, from start to finish.

The demanding course left little room for respite. Almost constant ascents and descents, selective terrain, perfect for testing yourself. I set off at my own pace, keeping to the course I'd set myself: staying focused on myself, on my sensations, on my plan. As the kilometers went by, the difficult moments came, as they always do, but I drew on everything I'd worked on in mental preparation, on the experience I'd accumulated, and on the energy of the team accompanying me.

💪 At the finish, I was not only 1st woman in 2:49, but I also broke the event record. A performance that marks an important milestone in my season. A victory made all the more special by the fact that my boyfriend, Riccardo, won the men's race: a real shared joy!

From effort management to collective performance

In a race, as in a business project, it's not enough to go fast: you have to know how to slow down in order to come back better, listen carefully and adapt. That's also what these moments in competition teach me: how to step back, understand my limits and adjust my strategy.

👉 At AMEG, this philosophy resonates strongly with that of our teams:

  • prepare for the long term,
  • learn from experience,
  • trust the collective,
  • aim for sustainable performance.

Whether you're a top-level athlete, an engineer, an entrepreneur or an employee, it's consistency, the desire to learn and the support of your team that will take you the furthest.
