Between studies, physical preparation and international competitions, Maëla shares the behind-the-scenes story of an ambitious dual project where discipline, passion and performance are the watchwords.

Hello ,
First of all, I'd like to thank the Ameg Group for its support this season.
My name is Maëla Moison, I'm 22 and I'm a top-level triathlete. A former swimmer, I discovered triathlon 5 years ago and, being very active by nature, the combination of three disciplines immediately appealed to me.

Triathlon
A combination of swimming, cycling and running 🏊♀️🚴♀️🏃♀️
There are several race formats, adapted to different distances and intensities:
✅ S: 750m swim, 20km bike, 5km run
✅ M: 1.5km swim, 40km bike, 10km run
✅ L: 2km swim, 90km bike, 21km run
✅ XL: 3.8km swim, 180km bike, 42km run
I first evolved in short formats with the Pontivy club in Division 2, then with Vesoul in Division 1.
Today I'm mainly focusing on long distance, while continuing to race as part of a team with the Montpellier Triathlon in Division 2, with the aim of taking the team up to the 1st division next season.
🔹To prepare, I train between 20h and 30h a week, alternating swimming, cycling, running but also weight training sessions. Long distance is particularly demanding: races last between 4h and 5h depending on the course. Triathlons demand discipline, daily commitment and, above all, mental strength.
👉 This year I obtained my professional long-distance certificate, a milestone in my career. It now enables me to take part in international competitions and renowned races, where the level is particularly high. It's a new stage, both motivating and demanding.
🔹Alongside my sporting career, I am continuing my studies at theGrenoble Alpes Universitywhere I'm studying for a Master's degree in Sports Performance Training and Optimization (Master 2). My aim is to pursue a dual project: succeed in my sporting career while building a solid professional future in the field of sports science.
See you soon...
