Hangar Festival: Jean-Louis Martin's Commitment

Commitment and team spirit sometimes extend far beyond the workplace. This is exemplified by Jean-Louis Martin, an AMEG Group employee on assignment at Schneider Electric, who helps organize the Hangar Festival, a music event that has become a must-attend summer destination in Haute-Savoie. Here’s a look at a collective endeavor driven by passion, volunteerism, and a spirit of sharing.

When Team Spirit Goes Beyond the Workplace

At AMEG Group, we firmly believe that commitment, passion, and a sense of community are not limited to the workplace. They are also evident in the personal and community projects led by our employees, which help bring their local communities to life and foster a sense of connection.

This is the case for Jean-Louis Martin, who is currently on assignment at Schneider Electric and has been actively involved for several years in organizing the Hangar Festival, a music event that has become a must-attend summer event in Haute-Savoie.

A collective adventure driven by enthusiasts

On Friday, July 10, and Saturday, July 11, 2026, the Pré Ombragé in Montagny-les-Lanches will host another edition of the Hangar Festival.

Behind this event are nearly 50 volunteers united by a common goal: to organize a friendly, accessible, and festive festival that showcases artists from the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region while fostering connections and sharing.

As with the projects we undertake at AMEG Group, success depends on the complementary nature of our talents, everyone’s commitment, and a collective energy focused on a common goal.

Two stages for a nonstop evening

The Hangar Festival owes its identity to its unique format: two stages that alternate throughout the evening.

A large outdoor stage hosts the main concerts, while a second stage, set up under the famous hangar that gave the event its name, allows artists to perform one after another without any downtime.

Starting at 11 p.m., the concerts give way to DJ sets to keep the party going late into the night.

Among the artists expected to perform this year, the band Valjean promises to make hearts dance as much as bodies do. With their French-language “trash pop” sound, the four musicians blur musical boundaries and navigate between rock, rap, French chanson, and techno with an energy that’s as festive as it is unpredictable.

To wrap up the evening, Potatoes Sound will take the reins with a mix drawing on influences from around the world, blending African, tropical, and Eastern sounds against a backdrop of sunny techno.

Growth that reflects the event's success

Public enthusiasm continues to grow.
After welcoming 730 festivalgoers in 2024, the festival reached a new milestone in 2025, with nearly 1,000 attendees on Saturday night and more than 1,800 visitors over the course of the weekend.
This remarkable development is a testament to the hard work of all the volunteers and confirms the public’s commitment to this intimate event.

A festival that is socially conscious and deeply rooted in its local community

The Hangar Festival is not limited to its musical lineup. The organizers pay special attention to the quality of the visitor experience and the event’s local impact.

The on-site dining options prioritize local products, short supply chains, and, whenever possible, organic sources. Festivalgoers can also enjoy craft beers from the Veyrat Brewery and homemade dishes prepared in a spirit of camaraderie and sharing.

For those who wish to extend their stay, the Pré Ombragé campground will be available on-site for just €5 per night.

A fine example of AMEG Group's values

Organizing an event that brings together nearly 2,000 people over a weekend requires foresight, attention to detail, coordination, and the ability to bring people together. These are skills that Jean-Louis draws on every day, both in his professional life and in his volunteer work.

Through his involvement in the Hangar Festival, he perfectly embodies the values we hold dear at AMEG Group: commitment, passion, a sense of community, and a desire to create positive and lasting experiences.
